About

Hello Everyone!

On behalf of the Bob Wills Fiddle Festival and Contest, I’m excited to say “We’re Back!” As this November will mark our 8th year in Downtown Greenville, preparations are underway and, truly, 2022 promises to be the best year ever. We invite you to join us with your sponsorship and, to both old and new friends, welcome!

This important event, unique to the City of Greenville, pays tribute to American traditions and treasures. It’s about fiddling and fiddlers and the best of competitions, and it’s also about the life and music of Bob Wills, which means fun for everyone. This year’s line-up is filled with talent, legacy, variety, and spontaneity. Toe-tappin’ heart-throbbing music – all in the spirit of great entertainment.

Saturday night, the historic Greenville Municipal Auditorium will showcase co-Headliners Lee Roy Parnell and The Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys under the direction of Jason Roberts . The Playboys, then, will also perform on Friday night at the ticketed “Big Ball in G-town’ concert and dance at the Ambassador Fletcher Warren Civic Center along with Brennen Leigh.

All day Saturday, the free outdoor stage at the Greenville Farmer’s Market will welcome Hot Club of Cowtown, The Western Flyers, Floyd Domino and his All Stars, and Jody Nix and the Texas Cowboys. Saturday’s outdoor festivities will also feature vendors, additional performances, and great food from downtown restaurants, and, of course, the outstanding Bob Wills Fiddle Contest in The Texan Theater.

Bob Wills
It’s true that Bob Wills thought of his Texas Playboys, audiences, fans, and each and every sponsor as ‘family,’ and, in that spirit, the City of Greenville, Sherry and Joey McKenzie, the Estate of Bob Wills and the Bob Wills Heritage Foundation look forward to welcoming you as a returning sponsor in 2022 or, if this is your first year, we’re thrilled to say ‘Welcome to the Family.’

From ‘deep within our hearts,’ we thank you.

Sincerely,
Carolyn Wills
