Hello Everyone!
Yes, the 9th Bob Wills Fiddle Festival & Contest is in the works, and, happily, 2023 promises to be a cool and special ‘Ah Haww!’ year!

You know, Bob Wills thought of his Texas Playboys, audiences, fans, and each and every sponsor as ‘family,’ and, in that spirit, the City of Greenville, Joey & Sherry McKenzie and Cindy Roberts, the Estate of Bob Wills and the Bob Wills Heritage Foundation look forward to welcoming you as a returning sponsor or, if this is your first year, to say ‘Welcome to the Family.’

This important event, unique to the City of Greenville, pays tribute to American traditions and treasures. It’s about fiddling and fiddlers and the best of competitions, and it’s about the life and music of Bob Wills, which means fun for everyone. This year’s line-up offers talent, legacy, variety, and spontaneity…toe-tappin’ heart-throbbing music – all in the spirit of great entertainment.

Saturday night, the historic Greenville Municipal Auditorium will showcase co-headliners Ray Benson and The Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys under the direction of Jason Roberts with Teea Goans and special guests Jody Nix, Floyd Domino, Katie Shore, and Emily Gimble. 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the acclaimed “For the Last Time” Album. Please Join us for a wonderful, special evening and hear the music from the last album. The Playboys will also perform on Friday night at the ticketed “Big Ball in G-town’ concert and dance at the Ambassador Fletcher Warren Civic Center.

All day Saturday, the free outdoor stage at the Greenville Farmer’s Market will welcome The Western Flyers with Redd Volkaert, Katie Shore and The Good Buds with Emily Gimble, and perennial favorite Jody Nix and The Texas Cowboys. Saturday’s outdoor festivities also include vendors, additional performances, great food from downtown restaurants, and, of course, the outstanding Bob Wills Fiddle Contest in The Texan Theater.

Please know your support of this ‘now time-honored’ event is equally important and treasured. We invite you to join us, and from ‘deep within our hearts,’ we thank you.
