About

Hello Everyone,

It’s always an honor to talk about Bob Wills Fiddlefest! So many memories, music, and friends over the years, and, I’m thrilled to say the 11th Annual Bob Wills Fiddle Festival and Contest is returning to Greenville on October 31 and November 1, 2025!

But wait! There’s also an amazing additional event happening at the Texan Theatre on October 30! Thanks to Barbara Horan and Michael Markwardt, this complimentary evening features dinner and screening of the award-winning film “The Birth and History of Western Swing.” Limited RSVP tickets are available!
BWFF is about fiddling and fiddlers and the best of competitions. It’s about the life and music of Bob Wills, about bringing people together, hearing toe-tappin’ music and simply having fun. The time-honored Fiddle Contest, held at the Texan Theater, draws contestants of all ages near and far while the entertainment package highlights the best of the best in the world of Western Swing.

This year, a special Friday evening concert at the GMA features Red Steagall & the Boys in the Bunkhouse and Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys under the direction of Jason Roberts. Saturday’s free outdoor concert presents the Western Flyers, the Soda Crackers, Georgia Parker Swing Band, and Last Band Standing. And the Saturday night finale at the GMA? It’s Dave Alexander and His Big Texas Swing Band accompanied by a 60-piece orchestra! (Yes, a full on-stage orchestra.)

Bob Wills
More than a solo, trio and even bigger than a band, it truly takes an orchestra to ‘conduct’ this event. THANK YOU to everyone who works and attends, and very special thanks to the sponsors who help to make this possible!

In the spirit of Bob Wills who thought of his Texas Playboys, fans, and each and every sponsor as ‘family,’ the City of Greenville, the Greenville Board of Development, Joey & Sherry McKenzie and Cindy Roberts, the Estate of Bob Wills and the Bob Wills Heritage Foundation look forward to welcoming you as a returning sponsor or, if this is your first year, to say ‘Welcome to the Family.” Truly, your support of this event is as important as it is treasured. We invite you to join the ‘orchestra’, and from ‘deep within our hearts,’ we thank you.
See you in Greenville!
